Gear Review: Therm-a-Rest Ventra Down Comforter and Fitted Sheet
This quilt/sheet combo covered a range of temperatures.
Most Versatile
Even though this quilt/sheet combo was the heaviest and bulkiest of the test, it was still an all-around favorite because of its huge comfort range. Testers snoozed soundly on 65°F April nights in the Sonoran Desert and on frosty 29°F February campouts in J-Tree. Just slip the sheet over any rectangular mattress and add the overstuffed 650-fill Comforter to create a hoodless feather bed.
On hot nights, our tester slept atop the cottony-soft, brushed polyester sheet. In cool temps, the comforter drapes open for ventilation, and in cold weather it snaps closed for warmth. The system is luxuriously roomy–easily double the volume of any other bag we tested. Add a pillow, and you’ll think you’re at home. Each component comes in two sizes.
