Gear Review: Sierra Designs Flex Down Jacket

This stretchy-baffled down jacket traps mega heat for serious warmth.

So what if it looks a little Michelin-Man—you won’t care when you’re basking in the toasty zone of the 750-fill Sierra Designs Flex Down Jacket. “It’s the coziest midweight puffy I’ve ever worn,” says a tester, who has used more than 20 of them. The elasticized “flex” seaming hugged her body to trap heat, but allowed for unrestricted mobility and a surprisingly low-bulk feel.

The high collar zips to just below the nose and snugs the hood in place. Two hand pockets kept her fingers warmer than her mitts. And the shell fabric is 100-percent recycled polyester. $249; 1 lb. 15 oz. (m’s L); sierradesigns.com
