Gear Review: Sea Eagle 370 Inflatable Canoe

An inflatable kayak that paddles well

Storing and transporting a boat is no small task—but the Sea Eagle 370 Inflatable Canoe solves the hassle factor. Blowing it up took our tester just 10 minutes (the kit comes with a foot pump), so he lost no time getting onto Maine’s lakes.

Two skegs (fins) on the bottom help the canoe track straight, and the fat walls and flat floor make it so stable, even an excited black Lab couldn’t tip it. The hull (made of 33 millimeter Polykrylar) stood up to shoreline rocks. And it weighs just 26 pounds—packed up, it’s small and light enough for one person to carry. $300; seaeagle.com
