Gear Review: SCOTTEVEST Fleece 5.0 Jacket

Has 24 pockets to keep all your gadgets in place

I’m not self-conscious about flying the geek flag, but that doesn’t make it any easier to keep track of all my gadgets, cords, and batteries. Enter the Fleece 5.0. It wears like a standard layering piece (with zip-off arms). But 24 pockets are squirreled away inside the midweight microfleece; they held all of my devices, so they didn’t slump to the bottom or create bulges.

Collar loops prevented headphone tangles, and a clear window on the MP3 pocket let me instantly find a song. Only bummer: It’s heavy and bulky compared to other fleeces. $140; 1 lbs. 12 oz. (L); m’s XS-XXXL; scottevest.com.
