Gear Review: Patagonia Switchback Bra

A sports bra with a very supportive wraparound design.

For her

The Patagonia Switchback Bra uses a novel wraparound design to deliver more support than regular tank-style bras, making it ideal for C and even D cups. The T-back includes two long straps that wrap from back to front and secure snugly around the rib cage.

The result? “The girls stayed put while I hopped down ledges,” says one full-chested tester, who also finds the Switchback ideal for high-impact trail-running and mountain biking. The fastener is in front, so there’s no chafing beneath a pack. Plus, the polyester/nylon/spandex blend dries superfast, so it kept her from getting chilled during strenuous, cold-weather hikes. $59; 4 oz.; patagonia.com
