Gear Review: Obermeyer UG Pro-75 Tight
Warm, light fleece pants.
Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Not much can beat a pair of fleece pants for lightweight warmth and these tights are warmer, and lighter than any others we tested. One tester who wore them for 21 days of skiing said, “I love the minimal aspects of the tights. No pockets, no hard waist buckle cutting you’re your belly, no fly.
They are stretchy enough for climbing and Tele turns, and have no excessive bells and whistles to get in the way of a waist belt or harness.” He liked the raw ankle seams that allow you to tug the pant leg up over the calf on hot days.
These polyester/spandex tights are warm, but did a great job of wicking sweat. The brushed inner face is cotton-soft with minimalist flat-lock seam on the inside of the legs. $79.50; 5 oz. (men’s medium); women’s XS-XL, men’s S-2X, obermeyer.com
