Gear Review: Native Vim Sunglasses

Get ski-oriented shades that are so light you’ll wear them for running and biking as well. The Vim has full-coverage lenses with a dark tint made specifically for snow. They tame glare, but still allow for good visibility when the clouds roll in.

Vents along the top of the frame dissipate moisture, so that even one bushy-browed tester experienced minimal fogging. Nose and ear grips (made of a proprietary rubberlike material called Cushionol) stuck firmly to testers’ faces no matter how sweaty they got.

Clarity is good, and peripheral vision is excellent. Concludes our tester, “I’d want more bottom and side coverage for vertical climbing or the harshest conditions, like Denali, but for everyday skiing in the Lower 48, they’re ideal.”
