This dexterous, warm glove wins out as most versatile

Warm but dexterous, the Typhon is now the go-to backcountry glove of one of our Colorado testers. The waterproof/breathable OutDry membrane is bonded directly to the shell (which is made from four-way stretch nylon and goatskin on the palm) to eliminate slippage between the layers.
The liner glove’s wool and polyester blend kept our hands cozy down to 15°F, and in all temperatures, the shell’s excellent breathability prevented clammy palms. “Even on sunny, 45°F days, they stayed perfectly dry,” a tester reported.
