Gear Review: Kenyon Eco-Therm Base Layer

Recycled polyester and bamboo makes this a super green baselayer.

[eco-friendly]

Don’t buy anything these days unless it’s green? This midweight crew is made with a blend of recycled polyester and bamboo (which regenerates fast, making it highly sustainable). The fabric proved comfortable next to skin, but wicking was merely adequate. Testers liked it best for moderately strenuous activities, such as relaxed dayhikes or short lunch runs in 35°F to 50°F temps. $26 (top or bottom); 6.5 oz.; men’s S-XXL, women’s S-XL; kenyonconsumer.com
