Gear Review: Injinji Performance Crew

These five-toes socks squelch blisters.

Toe socks look and feel funny to many hikers, but the Injinji Performance Crew kept our tester blister-free for 300 miles on a thru-hike of Vermont’s Long Trail. Made of a CoolMax/nylon/Lycra blend, this crew held its shape and wicked moisture well, even in rainy conditions. The sheaths of fabric surrounding each toe felt surprisingly comfy (once we got used to it) and eliminated skin-on-skin friction. $14; injinji.com
