Gear Review: High Sierra Wheeled Double Decker Ski and Snowboard Combo Bag

Keep all your equipment in one place with this durable ski and snowboard bag.

First, the carnage: Our globe-trotting tester saw sharp ski edges slash a lesser bag on the way to Alaska’s Chugach Range. On another, a wheel locked up for good en route to Idaho’s Sun Valley. Yet another bag was too narrow for her powder skis and stayed at home.

The High Sierra, though, survived our testing unscathed, including a gear-intensive winter trip to Norway. “It held three pairs of skis, plus boots and other gear in three spacious exterior pockets, and it rolled through airports like it was on rails,” she says.

Padded compartments and dividers protect planks, and an adjustment system allowed our tester to dial in a length for her specific skis (it fits 150cm to 205cm). $200; 9 lbs. 2 oz.; highsierrasport.com
