Gear Review: Fox River Cirrus/Sierra Socks

A sock made for those in-between days.

“This sock is just right for those ‘in-between’ days when it’s not quite warm but not bone-chilling,” says a tester who wore the women’s Cirrus with bike shoes on 40°F cyclocross rides, insulated boots down to 15°F, and low-cut hikers on dawn-patrol spring hikes. “I never wished for more or less sock, no matter the activity or temp,” she says.

The same technology that makes the Mammoths shine on the slopes works here, too—a compression zone through the arch and excellent wicking. PrimaLoft adds warmth and cushioning. The women’s-specific fit is narrower than a unisex, with a smaller toebox and heel pocket.
