Gear Review: Brunton Restore Solar Charger
This bomber solar charger was the most durable of all the models we tested.
Toughest
The most bomber unit is Brunton’s Restore. Rubberized construction includes slots for strapping it to your pack, and the two-panel array won’t inadvertently fold closed. Caveat: Charging times were slow due to small screens—especially in weak sun. The Restore comes with a car charger and mini-USB output, but other adapters cost extra. $124; 7.5 oz.; brunton.com
