Gear Review: Anon M1 Goggles

Some interchangeables promise condition-specific performance in theory—but in practice, the hassle of switching lenses makes the feature underused. The M1, however, raises the bar on ease of use. “I can actually trade lenses while the goggle is on my head,” says our tester. Six magnets grip the lens, which releases easily by tugging on two tabs (one at each cheekbone): Lift up the bottom edge like a hinged window to pop it out, then click the new windshield into place. The M1 includes two lenses—a mirrored red and a low-light blue—which proved suitable for every condition our tester encountered, from blazing sun at 11,000 feet to cloudy drizzle.
