We love a solid pair of convertible pants, especially one that doesn’t make us look (too) dorky. The Abisko Midsummer Zip Off scores high on both style and function, with zippers that hit just above the knee and an abundance of storage options: Two front hand pockets and two thigh pockets—one buttoned, one zippered—are the size of a folded map. These pants are made from the brand’s lightest-to-date G-1000 Air Stretch fabric, a blend of recycled polyester and organic cotton that’s superdurable, breathable, and packable. Reinforcement of the same fabric on the knees, pockets, and rear prevented rips during boulder scrambles in Colorado’s White River National Forest.
