Feetures Elite Max Cushion No Show Tab
The best sock for trail running of 2021.
When trail runners kick it into high gear, they need a sock that performs equally well on steep ascents as on gutsy sprints on the way back down. The Elite’s flat knit (no loops) on top of the foot was thin enough to release any sweat we worked up during an ascent of 14,265-foot Quandary Peak in Colorado, with temps in the upper 50s. And on the 3,300-foot downhill, terry loops knit into the underbed helped cushion the relentless pounding, giving a modicum of relief to our achy feet on the last leg of the mission. After 100 miles on a single pair, one tester reports that the sock still looks like new—21 percent nylon does the heavy lifting, and the polyester fibers (74 percent), which boost wicking, are strong as well.
