Exped Mountain Lite 20 Daypack Review
A simple, clean, top-loading rucksack.
Brand: Exped
Model: Mountain Lite 20
[all-purpose]
Some things never go out of style, like a simple, clean, top-loading rucksack. “This pack hefted 20 pounds comfortably, it isn’t bogged down with bells and whistles, and it proved armadillo-tough during four months of testing,” says one hiker who toted the 210-denier nylon sack while hiking, climbing, and biking on two continents. The molded-foam hipbelt (removable to save 5 ounces) and shoulder straps are supportive, yet very flexible to provide a good wrap. Two tightly woven, stretchy polyester side pockets and a top zippered pouch allow for overstuffing. Bonus: The bungee system on the front proved perfect for lashing a helmet, trekking poles, or wet rain jacket. $149; 1 lb. 9 oz.; 20 liters; 1 size; exped.com
