ENO SuperSub

Lightest hammock

Brand: Eagles Nest Outfitters

Model: SuperSub

Our take This hammock doesn’t sport many features, which is exactly why our testers deemed it perfect for minimalist trips in clear, non-buggy climates. “It compresses down to the size of a softball, so I just threw it in my pack during a fall dayhike in Allegany State Park, New York, and spent my lunch break swinging beneath the trees,” one tester says.

The details The SuperSub’s 30-denier nylon is soft on skin, but this hammock can hold 300 pounds—most in the test— thanks to the material’s thickness and Dyneema tree lines. There’s enough space for larger campers to sprawl out, but side-sleepers should beware of the taco effect. (One tester did like how the hammock’s sides curled over and covered his body.) This hammock does not include a rainfly or bug netting.

Trail cred “The tree-friendly straps are the simplest I’ve ever used—even novice hammockers shouldn’t have an issue,” our tester says.
