Boot Review: Montrail D7
Whether you're on rocks or a grassy trail, you're sure to love these boots.
After kicking around European crags all summer, our tester reports these goatlike low-tops are equally at home on the rock and trail. The close-fitting toebox and to-the-toe lacing provides sensitivity for climbing, yet a no-slide fit prevents toe jamming on descents. Traction is awesome on all surfaces, thanks to an outsole that combines sticky rubber under the forefoot with trail-worthy lugs in the heel. A fat rand and durable synthetic leather upper won’t blow out after one season.
