Adidas Terrex Agravic Wind Jacket

You won’t find more comfortable protection for 4 ounces than this ultralight women's windshell.

Brand: Adidas

Model: Terrex Agravic Wind Jacket

Weather protection

The windproof ClimaStorm fabric blocked stiff gusts, and the DWR kept testers shielded in light rain for up to 30 minutes. “It’s just right for cool, breezy trail runs, bike rides, and hikes,” reports a Midwestern tester who reached for it in temps from the 40s to the 60s.

Features

The minimalist design has few features, but the few it has work. One chest pocket holds a phone, and a brimless hood with a single drawcord stays in place without obstructing vision. The elastic cuffs are snug, and two elastic sections on the hem keep wind from sneaking in. Minor gripe: The hood is so light that, when it’s off in windy conditions (or during high-output activities), it inflates like a sail behind you.

Fit/feel

It’s slim and fits best with just a baselayer, with sleeves that hugged the wrists of even our monkey-armed testers. And the 20-denier polyester fabric has an awesome, drapey quality that feels smooth against bare arms and simply looks great.

Breathability

Good, but not great: Testers steamed up when the weather turned humid or wind dropped off in the high 50s. “But when I had to take it off, it was easy to stuff it into its pocket and carry it in my hand,” one tester says.
