When using the 2 person or 3 person method I recomend the group moving only 1 foot at a time (Much like a climber only moving 1 foot or 1 hand at a time) and waiting for the next foot move until that person feels they are stable. Moving a lot of feet can cause imbalance and loss of stability

Instant loss of credibility by calling a little brook a 'raging river'. If the technique is actually useful, you don't need to make yourselves look ridiculous by overpuffing it.

Rather disappointing...where was the "raging River"? If I can't get across what they demo-ed, I shouldn't be Backpacking.

Important information. The crossing demo was actually funny though given the water was only ankle deep. Why not demo a challenging crossing to be realistic?

Not bad, but I'm a little disappointed that the "raging river" was just over ankle deep. They seem to define a "raging river" as anything less than knee deep, as (unless I misunderstood), they recommend that you don't try to cross anything deeper.
No doubt I would be branded an idiot, but I've crossed rivers (none that I would classify as raging) that were more than knee deepbuy being careful but not fearful. Maybe I'm just clueless.

Nicely done video!

it would be nice to see them use the tripod method on more than a babbling brook

good infomation. Most people don't know the proper technique of crossing a river. Also I didn't know about the tripod crossing. Thanks
