First Aid kit at the BOTTOM!!! Big safety no-no, especially when backcountry skiing which has a high risk of impact or puncture trauma from hitting trees and rocks. Boot packing with your helmet on!! If you want to save space, preapply your skins to your skis. I have to say, I have a fairly different style.
