» Sunset-North Ridge Loop, Angel Island SP Link two trails on San Francisco Bay’s largest island. From Ayala Cove, climb to a grassy ridge on North Ridge Trail. Near mile two, take a short side trip to 788-foot Mt. Livermore for views of Mt. Diablo and Mt. Tamalpais. Merge onto Sunset Trail for a switchback descent to the dock. » Stinson Beach to Pantoll Ranger Station, Mt. Tamalpais SP “When it comes to NorCal scenery, this hike has it all,” says club founder John Bondon. The 3.5-miler leaves the beach on Dipsea Trail and climbs through redwoods to the ranger station. Finish the loop on Steep Ravine Trail, which descends along Webb Creek.
