Location: Dolomites, Italy
Hike: Unnamed hike near Passo di Giau. Distance to the lake is 10 miles.
October at 7:45 p.m.
Sunrise at this unnamed lake was something that I have been planning for a long time. First, it took me a long time to actually find the lake itself on the map. Then finding a decent trail was not easy either. After finding a way to the lake I was waiting for the weather. Getting the larches in their peak is tough enough, getting to the location right after two weeks of storms, and having this perfect weather is almost miracle. Technically this was not hard, but all the effort that led to this shot makes it one of my favorites.
