I am a boy scout, and most of what we are taught is simple logic. I am surprised more people don't exercise thinking when going into the woods. Simply sitting down with a survival book for 20 minutes could save your life. I recommend that those reading this think up an emergency plan before their next excursion.

what is truly amazing about the Boy Scouts is that they are all between 11 and 18 years of age, and can navigate their way successfully thru the back country, in all types of weather and have fun doing this.
