Recipe: Indian Fry Bread

Take your trail meals up a notch with this easy Indian Fry Bread.

Required Equipment:
Small mixing bowl
Medium-size frying pan

1 cup self-rising flour plus a little extra for working the dough
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation at Camp:
1. Combine 1 cup flour, seasonings, and water in a bowl. Mix well.
2. Warm oil over medium heat in a frying pan.
3. With floured hands, create 4 dough balls of roughly equal size, place in pan, and flatten with a spatula.
4. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
