Time-Saving Recipes: Alpine Pasta

Scenario: You want to eat gourmet, but only have 10 minutes to shop. Solution: This pasta dish featuring salami and diced 2 ounces sun-dried tomatoes.

2 4.4-ounce Knorr Butter & Herb pasta packets

4 ounces pepper-coated salami, diced
2 ounces sun-dried tomatoes
6 green onions, chopped
5 ounces Gruyère cheese, grated

In camp Boil a cup of water and pour it over tomatoes. In separate pot, cook pasta according to package instructions. While pasta simmers, chop softened tomatoes. After pasta cooks for five minutes, add all ingredients and stir until noodles are done. Serves two.

i am tramping alaska for 2 years now real simple meal 1 can diced chicken , angelhair pasta , montery jack or colby cheese boil pasta then throw in chicken cheese and spices of your own and walla you have a quick and filling meal that takes 15 minutes with little to no prep time enjoy

Just pack along oil packed tomatoes then: No cooking, plus olive oil = healthy tasty fuel source.

2 pots? Easy, nestelled pots, big/small. Boil water and drop dried tomatoes into water, remove when rehydrated,chop.

I agree, when backpacking I rarely have two pots.

2 pots? No way. Why not throw the tomatoes in with the pasta for the last few minutes of cooking?
