Dancin -you really dont say what you are looking for in a jacket. BP reviewed a couple of hard shells, soft shells, etc.

Sierra Trading Post always has good prices on gear. Sign up for their email flyers and they'll send you coupons for additional 20-20% off their already reduced prices.

The Patagonia Men's Ascensionist is on sale for 67.50 + shiopping/tax but only sizes s and xl are available. Google it. This is as of 9/24...dont know if its in danger of selling out.
