Recipe: Oatmeal You'll Never Get Sick Of
1/2 cup instant oats
1 tsp brown sugar
2 tbsp dried milk
(approx. 4.5 oz. per serving)
Combine ingredients in a quart-sized zipperlock bag. In camp add boiling water to desired consistency and let sit in insulated cozy for about 2 minutes. Stir and eat.
For Lime Cranberry Oats
: add 1 tsp. Lime Powder,* a handful of dried cranberries, and a handful of sunflower seeds
For Vanilla Almond Berry Oats
: add 1 tsp. Vanilla Almond Powder,*handful dried mixed berries**, and a handful of slivered toasted almonds
For Orange Apricot Hazelnut Oats
: add 1 tsp Orange Powder*, 5 dried apricots diced, and a handful of toasted chopped hazelnuts
For Apple Pie Oats
: add a good sprinkling of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, a handful of dried diced apple, a handful of raisins, and a handful of chopped pecan.
