Oh come on all you Texas folks - admit it you are in the middle of the country from east to west and the southern area so lets call you what you really are - a state that most of us from the east want to get across so we can get to the "real" west and southwest and northwest. You and Oklahoma are the wastelands between us and paradise.....

Where do you put the trip on this home page???

Southern Midwest?

It's pretty obvious that the magazine divided the country into four columns and listed them as above (West - Pacific rim; Mountain West - Rockies; East - Atlantic Rim; everything else - Mid-west) Is it really too hard to just overlook your own limited geographical definitions and figure out theirs?

And really? It's like saying Oregon is on the East Coast? Did you even TRY to figure out their organizational system? You're just exaggerating a non-existent example to defend a weak point.

Austin, TX is in the southwest in my book.

Hmmm....If Austin isn't mid-west, what is it? It's definitely not west, mountain west or east.

Saying Austin,TX is in the the mid-west is like saying Oregon is on the east coast. Come on people in the NON-EDITING department wake up and get real, or maybe we will have to send you a sign, if you can read it.

Are we really supposed to take directions from somebody that believes Austin, TX is in the Midwest?
