delivers a freeride goggle called the Orbiter (MSRP $170) to the market with its new photochromic cylindrical Camel lens. The high-tech polarizing, anti-fogging now serves up smooth transitions between Category 2 (low light/below treeline) conditions to Category 4 (intense sunlight/ above treeline/glacier). The Orbiter also features a larger fit and Extended Outrigger and Ad Strap for enhanced helmet compatibility.
Advanced performance via unique lenses and coatings is another key trend. As part of its U.S. footwear and apparel launch, adidas Outdoor
debuts an eyewear line that includes the high-end Terrex Pro (MSRP $305). This technical eyewear, targeted at protecting eyes in high altitudes where harsh conditions prevail, has an anti-fog coating, front filters for 100-percent UV protection, and Twin Filter soft foam padding for optimum fit and function.

, all injection-molded sunglasses and a variety of snowsports goggles have the company’s eco-conscious Evolve material, which is a non-petrol-chemical alternative to widely used TR90 grilamid nylon. Evolve uses a blend of organic, non-GMO, castor-based resin that Smith said performs as well as or better than nylon.
