Easy to pack and easy to vent
A quarter-length zip on the chest takes a few nights to get used to, but the design makes the Feather nearly as packable as the MontBell bag, yet easier to vent in warm weather. The 20-degree F rating is not wishful thinking, thanks to plenty of 700-fill-power down and an overstuffed, snug-fitting hood, and the Pertex Quantum shell repelled wind and moisture better than most. A fat draft collar and comfortably efficient cut also earned high marks.
