Quick Tip: Rainfly Right

Quick tips to set your tent with the right rainfly.

To make the most of a rainy day, pick a rainfly that:

  • covers the inner tent even when the fly's unzipped
  • attaches with buckles that allow prerigging for speedy setup
  • has a vent in the roof to reduce condensation
  • is pale in color to let more light inside (improving morale on long tentbound days)
  • has a clear window that offer views of rainbows and marauding bears without unzipping the fly.
