Mystery Alaska Contest: GO FISHING AS OUR OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENT

If our float-trip auction attracts enough qualifying bids to cover The Conservation Fund’s financial needs, this adventure is a go for summer 2011. And that will kick in part two of our special Alaska promotion:

We will select one BACKPACKER reader to join the trip as our official correspondent.

To earn that spot, you will need to submit a persuasive entry that includes writing and photo or video samples. We’ll be looking for the one reader who has the best combination of storytelling skills and technical proficiency.

If we select your entry, we’ll cover your travel costs (The Conservation Fund is providing a seat on the boat), pay you a small honorarium, and publish your post-trip report in the magazine or website. The auction concludes March 1, so check back here after that date for complete instructions.
