Hello Editors,
my name is Fabrizio Napoleone. I'm a published writer living in Vancouver, Canada. I am heading out for a cruise of the arctic region of Canada & Greenland during August/September time frame.
I'm wondering if you would be interested in providing me with an assignment letter? In return I am willing to write an article for you due upon my return.
Although I haven't written much in the way of travel articles, I have published eight short stories in various literary journals, as well I've won several writing awards including 4 writer's fellowships. And last year my first screenplay won Grand prize at the Canada Intl Film Festival screenplay competition. I also teach creative writing at Capilano University in Vancouver.
The assignment letter is meant to help me get some interviews with persons of interest, access to some behind the scenes places (ship's bridge, kitchens, museums, day excursions, etc).
FYI - I am flexible to your needs. Are you interested in my proposal?
hope to hear from you soon.
regards,
Fabrizio

Just received the Editor's Choice Backpacker Magazine in the mail and was disappointed that neither Mystery Ranch nor McHale packs were listed. How do you choose which packs to list and rank?
Please have some the current magazine cover. Thanks.
So, most people might think that Backpacker would be something you wouldn't mind your children reading, right? Well, I find you magazine's inclusion of the F word both offensive and anti-family. Would you want me to come into your home and use that language in front of your children?
I just flipped through the new October Backpacker to see what I could look forward to reading. Yuk,
then I saw the "Killer Hike" article. It has been ripped out and recycled. Enough said.
