What to eat when you're one person spending one day on the trail and looking to travel light
by: Jason Stevenson
there i way tooooooooooo much food and so mannnnnnnnny veges are u crazy?????
Wow, that's an insane food list for a day hike!
Preparing that kind of food seems silly as well- fine if you're car camping, but I wouldn't lug that on a day summit and sit up there cooking quesadillas for an hour... To each their own!
I agree--that's way too much food...don't get it.
This is over 4 lbs of food!!! How is that ultralight?!?! Most people would eat 1.5-2 lbs of food per day, maybe even less on a dayhike.
That's an interesting list. Check out this other site for a walk through of what you need and why: www.ninehats.com

I dayhike alot... I never make dinner on the trail when I dayhike. Do many people?
I can get with this.
if yer a veggie you should stay indoors, hide in shame
What if you're vegetarian?
Caloric information to go along w/ the menu would be really valuable.
