Getting There: From Lexington, go east on I-64 to exit 98, south on KY 402 (Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway) to exit 33, and then take a left onto KY 15 for 1.5 miles to KY 77. Follow the signs for Gladie Historical Site to Red River Gorge.
Prime Time: October.
