Interesting. The 2009 gear guide lists the Camelbak Fourteener as the best all-around. There was no mention of the Deuter ACT Trail 32. Wonder how this pack suddenly gained this title?

I think the Flash 18 should have been put up for technical daypack consideration. I just bought one a few days ago and went on a 16 mile hike (traversed 2000+ feet up) and I had it packed with nearly 3 liters of water (100oz camelback), and some food, reading materials, and some extra stuff I should have left behind. It's very comfortable, stylish (comes in a few different colors) yet I chose the std rei orange/grey to match my beloved flash 65.
