Utensils: Primus Meal Set

Freshly grated Parmesan with your fire-side spaghetti dinner? That's not a problem with this easy to clean, full-featured mess kit

by: BACKPACKER Editors and contributing writers

Primus Meal Set
Primus Meal Set

Utensils
This all-in-one mess kit packs into a thin oval container that slips neatly into a daypack or lid pocket, making it a great solution for both camp meals and on-the-fly eating at street markets and roadside vendors. Inside: a refillable spice shaker; a small bottle for olive oil, Tabasco, or dish soap; a foldable spork; a measuring/drinking cup; a lidded bowl (could hold a stash of trail mix, for instance); and a multitasking oval plank that grates cheese, strains pasta, and serves as a cutting board. The container doubles as a serving bowl and plate. All components are made of rugged, easy to clean, and recyclable polypropylene. $20; 12 oz.; nagear.com. Reader service #120
