They're not fancy, but they do the job.
Nothing fancy about these proven classics--just great fit, durable construction, and an affordable price tag. We love the dead-on sizing (thanks to three widths), and the right amount of toe room for long trips. The fit, waterproofing, and sturdy sole earned the Crestas top honors in our all-purpose boot test. Our only wish is for a little more underfoot cushion and a rand to protect the smooth leather.

For the past 12 years I have loved these hiking boots. From hiking the AT throughout Maine to the NY Catskills and Adirondacks these boots have never failed me. Just purchased my third pair yesterday and am already looking forward to hitting the trail! I haven't had an issue with waterproofing and they are very comfortable. One drawback is they can be a little warm due to thier all leather construction. But for the durability that provides it's something I can live with.
Great backpacking boot!!! Very tough boot and good soles$$$

I have had these boots (2 pairs) for over 15 years. They are so durable. After many hundreds of miles of hiking in all types of terrain I LOVE these boots. The waterproofing is true until the boots wear out after a few years. The grip is unbeatable, period. I can safely run down wet rock with these boots on trails in Yosemite to the Adirondacks. Although a bit heavy, the full leather cresta boots are sturdy and rugged. Great comfort, great boots.
