VIDEO TUTORIAL:Map a Trail with Your GPS
Assistant Map Editor Kim Phillips shows you how to us a GPS and digital camera to map your trail and document your hike in this video tutorial.
i have started making (big) wall maps for hiking areas, and parts of the south that are highly traveled. i sell them pretty cheap for the quality and size of the final print. they look even better in print, and mounted/framed.
see my website: www.hubbardmapworks.com
i can also custom make maps for other parts of the country/world...so write me if you are interested in something different from the store brand maps. (contact form in site)
thanks,

Whatever became of the CDT GPS waypoint project? Will the waypoints ever get "published"? I plan on hiking the CDT in 2010 and waypoints would come in handy. Posted: Nov 24, 2009 DiscoDan
Need topo maps? Go to topoquest.com and cynicsoftware.com. You can download topo maps straight to an iphone using a topos2go (a free app) but it's not necessary to have a phone. the websites have a pretty good selection of NPs and Forest land. PLUS... they are free. Posted: Nov 18, 2009 Vic
I can't find any links to the maps and hike descriptions, whazup??????? Posted: Oct 30, 2009 mtnsounds
When will the maps be available on line for the National Parks Hall of Fame hikes described in the November 2009 issue? Posted: Oct 17, 2009 OlBlue
I am with Alvena. I like topo maps too. No GPS! Please let us know how to download. Thanks Posted: Oct 17, 2009 Ron
Your "Editor's Note" (Nov 2009) was a real winner. I am jealous of other people who live in places other than a flat plain as I do. One queston about Google Earth. When I zoom in at a certain point all becomes out of focus and blured. I can't seem to rectify this situation. Posted: Oct 08, 2009 Andydog
I don't have a GPS and don't plan on getting one - I still like using a Topo map. How can I access topo maps of potential hiking/backpacking areas without GPS coordinates?? Posted: Sep 30, 2009 Alvena
your hikes in the September print edition are not loaded on your website. Get your act together, jeez luweez! Posted: Sep 08, 2009 sosjohn
