I recently got back from climbing Kilimanjaro and the pictures here look as though we took the same route (Shira Plateau/Western Breach). It was a great hike that I would do again in a second. Next up...Aconcagua in February 2012...with many smaller hikes in beween :)

The "Climbing Kilimanjaro" gallery was worthless, and ego trip for a bunch of musicians. Where were the photos of the rest of the climb??
— bud

Ditto Bud's comment. Having trekked Kilimanjaro, via the Western Breach, two years ago, I was expecting more photos of the actual trek. Backpacker definitely did NOT live up to its usual high standards on this one.
