Dear Kieth Selbo,
This is not a good gear review. This is an advertisement. A good gear review should at least give dimensions, weights, and sizes, and perhaps how it worked when you used it. Your personal experience with the item, form factor, durability, packability, style, etc., would all help convince me that you actually TRIED this item. Since you've only provided a "courtesy photo" and no pics of you actually setting up or using this, I'm pretty sure you're full of it.

This article is a must read if you intend to buy any solar battery charger:

Since you listed a solar option, I suggest you check out the Silva Tech solar charger that charges 4 AA, or AAA NMH batteries at a time. I like it because it only weighs 4 ounces, and for me at least, it's a much more versatile option. I can use it to charge my headlamp AAA's and I can put the AA's in my LadyAda Mintyboost USB charger and charge my PDA phone and camera.
