These four-way stretch, double-weave polyester pants are comfortable and quick drying.

All-day comfort was a given with these dynamic, quick-dry pants. When I was on the move, they moved with me, thanks to four-way stretch, double-weave polyester/spandex. And the waistband’s buttery polyester liner felt luxe under a hipbelt.

On a 14-mile hike during a cool summer deluge, the fabric blocked wind and beaded water longer than expected (it eventually wetted out). Best of all, when the rain stopped, the pants were totally dry within three miles. Knees and ankles are reinforced and pockets are deep. $80; 14 oz. (m’s M); m’s S-XXL, w’s XS-XL; rei.com.

I think the whole Endevor line are some of the best engineered pants I have seen. The fabric is light, water/wind resistent and tough like Schoeller. Bur it is the design that makes them so great. The convertable version can be converted without removing your boots. The pockets have zippers so you don't loose your car keys and the pants have a good protection patch in the middle. They are a great value too!
