When I was at a Campfire Girl camp (Camp Wathana) in the 60's we made "mock angelfood cake" by dipping bread in sweetened condensed milk then coconut and toasting over the fire. Very yummy!
Our boy scout troop came up with the mexican smore. take a tortillia add peanut butter mini marshmellows and chocolate chips . wrap in foil and cook over the coals till crispy.. quite tasty..
poo poo canoe = a banana sliced down the middle, filled with chocolate, marshmallow, and peanut butter if you wish. yum yum
We like to set up a foil shelf at the edge of the fire, and we set the graham crackers + chocolate on that to warm up while we toast the mallows. Warms the graham crackers and melts the chocolate! = awesome.
Also, try it with a square of a Caramilk bar. Mmmmmmm....
(Oh wait. Is that what a Caramello is? I've never had one of those).
