“This hike has 250-foot-tall sequoias and outstanding wildflowers and foliage,” raves Carol Underhill. “And it’s rarely crowded.” Follow Redwood Canyon Trail .3 mile to Redwood Creek Trail, then Sugarbowl Trail at mile two. At mile four, reach 7,001-foot Redwood Mountain and descend a ridge 2.6 miles through towering trees.
