Last year's Editors' Choice bag features the same functional zipper design and low weight.
Editors' Choice Update
This 800-fill mummy won our top award last year (4/08), thanks to its conservative temperature rating, low weight, and a half-length front zip design that wowed most testers. "You can't zip bags together for conjugal camping," said one after using the bag on subfreezing nights in the Sierra Nevada. "But for easy hood closure, convenient reading and hot drink mug-huddling, the center zip rocks."
The foot and hood are shelled in Pertex Endurance, which increases moisture resistance at those key places but keeps overall weight and price down by not using it for the entire cover. $325; 1 lb. 14 oz.; 20°F
