Gear Review: Mountain Hardwear Pandra LS Henley

With its pointy collar, button-up V-shaped neckline, and snazzy stitching (aka “shirring” in the fashion world) around the bust, this top looks like something you’d see on an Aspen sidewalk. But the fabric is all business: DriRelease, a combo of 85 percent polyester and 15 percent wool, insulates, wicks, and dries fast, just like a good baselayer should. Worn with a neck gaiter and under a jacket, it’s as hardworking as many of the baselayers we tested (p. 46), but with a girly flare that testers loved. $65; 6.5 oz. (M); XS-XL; mountainhardwear.com
