VERDICT
Designers wrapped these high-performance shoes in a good-looking package, making them the ideal one-quiver footwear for travelers. I used them for everything from mountain biking to exploring Utah slot canyons to scrambling in Colorado’s Elk Range to kicking around town. The sticky outsole gripped wet boulders and dry slickrock, while the midsole’s layers of cushy EVA, durable PU, and a nylon shank provided forefoot rigidity for distributing pedal pressure—and hiking with 25-pound loads. A rubber toecap prevents foot-bashings, and the nubuk leather upper proved durable over six months of multisport abuse. $120; 2 lbs. 1 oz. (m’s 9.5); m’s 8-14, w’s 6-11; obozfootwear.com
