You don't have to stop the music with this multi-use speaker from Braven.

This portable, burrito-size speaker can fill a campsite with stereo sound from two bass-and-treble balancing HD audio subwoofers, plus it shakes off abuse thanks to a shock-absorbing rubber casing. Once the sun goes down or your smartphone battery drags, it does triple duty as an LED flashlight and USB charger.

We paired it with our mobile device to stream tunes, while charging a GPS watch (usually in two hours); it kept running for another 12 hours on one charge. Packworthy cred: The water-resistant, acoustically transparent stuff sack doesn’t dampen sound and won’t leak when dunked. Whizbang factor: Take hands-free calls on the built-in mic. $180; 1 lb. (all cords, bag, and flashlight); braven.com
